Hi folks, I relaise this has probably been discussed before but anyway...

where can I get a cheap (ish) helmet? tried all the sites and the cheapest seems to be 70!

If you buy it through your club it should be possible to get it a bit cheaper. I heard St Olaf's in Dublin had them for 50 quid, for example, although that might be a members price. You certainly wont get it for less than that. Talk to your club treasurer, or whoever is in charge of buying the club's equipment, they might even be trying to organise a bulk purchase of helmets.

Michael Rice is the rep for mycro in kilkenny, ronan curran does it in cork. u can pick up an xtra lite helmet for 50 euro from either of them. ring mycro in cork their number is on the website

Smyths toys have junior helmets on sale for €37.50, they look OK and must be approved, have a look at www.toys.ie and do a product search for Hurling.
