Who will win the u21 co. final?

For me boro are favourites,but the rower could shade this one!!Lyng and gaffeny will be a great tussle in the middle of the field,although the rower have suffered heartbreak to the boro all year,i think they can turn the tables this time!!

Should be a close affair, the conditions might suit The Rower more than the Boro but the Boro have the added advantage of a few competitive games in the last few weeks which will stand to them and the stronger team on paper would suggest its theirs to lose.

Dicksboro will win this game in a canter.
They will be much sharper, have more team work and are stronger all round the field,due to having competitive championship games.
The Rower Inistioge are lying idle since mid December while the 'Boro have been playing Clara, St.Martin's and O'Loughlins.
Dicksboro beat The Rower Inistioge handsomely last year and the 'Boro weren't as strong as they are this year.

Dicksboro have all the advantages going into this final and the only way they can lose it is if they come in overconfident.

Good man very insightful contribution there.

I'd be shocked if the Boro fail to win this, look far stronger on paper than the Rower and with the recent run of competitive games it's very hard to see them losing this one. As has already been mentioned on this tread the only thing that will beat the Boro is themselves.

The Rower have a history of obliging other clubs.

I believe the senior championship semi final clash of 1968 between Thomastown and TRI was postponed whilst Ollie Walsh served an unmerited suspension received in an inter county league match.

TRI won the delayed match and Eddie Kehir went on to scuessfully captain Kilkenny

this is incorrect. john fagan is unavailable the whole weekend and could never have made the match whether it was on saturday or sunday

A very good performance by Dicksboro who were simply too strong for the Rower.
The Boro had a good all round team without any great weaknesses.
It will be interesting to see how many of the Boro players make Intermediate/Senior in the years ahead.
Emigration and players moving to Dublin for work, etc will have a greater impact in future years.
It is also important that this group are not expected to achieve too much too soon.
Some of the Boro contingent have lofty ambitions but it is important to let players find their feet at adult level over a reasonable period of time.
The Shamrocks team came on exceptionally quickly but they had stand out individuals.
It is unlikly the Boro will be able to emulate that feat in the immediate future.
